MWL concerns over ICC arrest warrant of President Omar

Dr Al-Turki said the MWL would like to reiterate the importance of
avoiding double-standards in tackling crises, adding that the MWL
hails the solidarity demonstrated by the Muslim countries with Sudan
notably the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which has voiced solidarity with
Sudan and reiterated its keenness on the country’s stability and
unity of its territories.


The decision issued by the ICC will never contribute to resolving
the problems of Sudan, on the contrary it will aggravate the
situation there, said Dr Al-Turki.


The MWL urged the Muslims throughout the world to voice solidarity
with Sudan which is facing plots that aim at its partition, and
called on the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and the
Arab League to follow up the decision of the ICC and to exert further
efforts for enhancing the pillars of stability in Sudan.


Dr Al-Turki pointed out that the MWL has been working to bring about
reconciliation and stability in Darfur and it will be ready at any
time for contribution to realizing peace in Darfur.
