NIHR's complaints committee convenes

Manama, July 27 (BNA): The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee held its 14th regular meeting. Maria Khoury chaired the session, which was also attended also by members Khaled Abdulaziz Al Shaer and Rawdha Salman Al Aradi. The committee reviewed the six complaints and 36 legal assistance requests recived by the NIHR from June 10 to July 19, and the procedures taken so far regarding them, including contacts with the relevant parties. The panel discussed a number of administrative opinions prepared by the NIHR’s Secretariat-General, including the right of the elderly to decent living standards, and the addition of new channels to submit complaints and assistance requests, such as the e-signature.
