BRCS stages orientation meeting

Manama, July 30 (BNA): The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) organized a meeting for a newly recruited volunteers group to introduce them to its organizational structure, tasks of its committees, as well as its goals and humanitarian principles, namely humanity, impartiality, independence and universality. The newly recruited volunteers were also familiarized with the International Humanitarian law and Geneva international conventions on humanitarian cooperation. In addition to the BRCS’s contributions to relieving people’s suffering in collaboration with its key partners of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The BRCS Secretary-General Dr. Fawzi Ameen, in his speech, highlighted the BRCS’ constant keenness to recruit volunteers enthusiastic about humanitarian and giving work to accentuate Bahrain’s international standing in the same field locally and internationally.
