Renewable energy cooperation with Egypt highlighted

Manama, Aug. 2 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza, received Ambassador of Egypt to Bahrain, Suha Ibrahim Rifaat Al Far. The minister commended the distinguished relations between Bahrain and Egypt, stressing his keenness to develop close cooperation in the electricity, water and renewable energy sector. He reviewed the ministry's prominent projects implemented in this sector, especially the advanced steps being taken in the energy projects. The minister said that a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of renewable energy has been finalized and approved by the Council of Ministers and the relevant departments in both countries. The ambassador expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation to the minister for the warm welcome and said that she will do all to develop cooperation between Bahrain and Egypt in all fields, especially renewable energy, electricity and water fields to promote brotherly and historical relations between the two countries.
