Transportation minister receives Kuwaiti ambassador

Manama, Aug. 5 (BNA): Transportation and Telecommunications Minister, Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, received here today the Dean of Diplomatic Corps and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain, Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al-Sabah. The minister reviewed with the ambassador the on-going preparations to inaugurate the new passemger terminal (T 4) at the Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday, August 8, with the first flight by Kuwait Airways heading to Bahrain International Airport. The inauguration ceremony of the new terminal will be attended by ministers, senior officials, civil aviation specialists and media personnel. The minister extended congratulations to Kuwaiti Amir, HH Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince, HH Shaikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and Prime Minister, HH Shaikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, on the historic occasion and milestone achievement. "It is a source of our pride that the Kuwait Airways makes its inaugural flight from the new terminal to Bahrain," he said. The Kuwaiti ambassador expressed delight at the new achievement that adds to Kuwait’s rich record of civilisational accomplishments, noting that planninng the first flight from T 4 to Bahrain embodies the deep-rooted bilateral relations, and the distinguished status the kingdom enjoys in Kuwait –leadership and people. The envoy extended thanks to all those who contributed to the success of Kuwait Airways’ pilot launch of its flights from the new terminal, citing the affiliates of the relevant sides in the two brotherly countries.
