Koirala arrives in Delhi on Wednesday
Kathmandu, Mar 11 (PTI) Former prime minister and Nepali
Congress (NC) President Girija Prasad Koirala is arriving on a
three day visit to Delhi Wednesday. The visit is personal as
he is going there mainly for medical check up, said Sujata
Koirala, Nepali Congress central member and daughter of the
octogenarian leader.
During the visit Koirala is likely to meet Prime Minister
Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Foreign
Minister Pranav Mukherjee and former prime minister Atal
Behari Vajpayee.
My father (G P Koirala) has very old relations with
Indian leaders, so he will definitely meet them during the
visit, she said.
The octogenarian leader who is suffering from lungs
problem for the past few months will have his medical check up
in Delhi's Apollo Hospital, Sujata added.
The much publicised visit by Koirala to India has raised
eyebrows of the leaders of the ruling Unified CPN-Maoist.
Maoists' central Secretariat member and former deputy
commander Barshaman Pun "Ananata" has alleged that former King
Gyanendra is making efforts to make his grand son Hridayendra
"Baby King" with the help of some democratic forces of Nepal
and India." Gyanendra is currently in India in connection of
attending a wedding ceremony of a relative. PTI SBP
