Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd attends opening ceremony of

Kuwait, March 11, SPA -- On behalf of Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahme Al-Sabah,
Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Heir
Apparent of the State of Kuwait, opened here today the new
headquarters of the Asian Olympic Council in Kuwait in the attendance
of Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Deputy President
of Youth Welfare of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Deputy Chairman of
the Saudi Olympic Committee and Member of the International Olympic
Committee (IOC); Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz;
Dr. Jacques Rogge, the President of IOC; a number of heads of
national Olympic committees; and sports officials from Asia and the
world.
In a press statement following the opening ceremony, Prince Nawaf
congratulated Kuwait's leadership and people on this achievement,
lauding the efforts being exerted by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahd Al-Ahmed
Al-Sabah, Chairman of Asia Olympic Council, for the development of
the Olympic movement in Asia.
