NIHR, British embassy discuss boosting cooperation

Manama, Aug. 14 (BNA): Secretary General of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Dr. Khalifa bin Ali Al Fadhel received the UK’s Deputy Ambassador Moqbel Ali and Head of the Programmes Department at the British embassy Chris Thompson. The meeting was attended by NIHR Assistant Secretary General Yasser Ghanim Shahin. Dr. Khalifa bin Ali Al Fadhel welcomed the Deputy Ambassador, lauding the outstanding role of the British embassy in boosting cooperation between the two friendly countries. The meeting spotlighted ways of bolstering cooperation between NIHR and the British embassy through holding training programmes on human rights. The UK’s Deputy Ambassador praised the unrelenting efforts of NIHR, stressing readiness of the British embassy to provide every support so that NIHR can achieve its goals and specialties professionally.
