Speaker lauds royal decree

Manama. Aug. 17 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla lauded the issuance of the royal decree by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa forming the Board of Directors of the General Organisation for Social Insurance (GOSI) under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. He said the issuance of the decree reflects HM the King’s keenness to ensure a decent life for citizens through institutional development concerning their future life and retirement gains. He also stressed keenness on developing the retirement system in the Kingdom of Bahrain to protect citizens’ rights and secure financial stability of the pension funds. The Representatives Council Speaker expressed keenness of the Representatives Council on cooperation with GOSI Board of Directors to boost legislation aimed at protecting the pension rights. He pointed out ongoing cooperation between the legislative and executive branches to carry out the royal directives concerning the pension funds. Al Mulla congratulated GOSI Board of Directors on the royal trust, wishing them success in their future duties.
