New Delhi, Aug. 24 (BNA): The Consul General of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Mumbai, Ali Abdulaziz Al-Balooshi, has affirmed that all Bahrainis in the flood-hit Indian state of Kerala are safe.
The Consul General noted that the General Consulate has provided all services and facilities to around 25 Bahraini citizens stranded in the state of Kerala. These services included the transfer of citizens from dangerous areas, booking hotels for accommodation, changing reservations to return to the Kingdom and providing transportation to airports.
Mr. Al-Balooshi pointed out that the General Consulate had previously warned citizens in Kerala through Twitter to follow the instructions issued by the local authorities and keep away from the places affected by floods.
The Consul General stated that the Consulate General works around the clock to follow up on the disaster in cooperation with the competent authorities and the Indian government, noting that Kerala airport will resume working on August 29, 2018, according to the Indian government.
