iGA supports BOC green projects

Manama, Aug. 27 (BNA): Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) is following-up the directives of His Majesty the King's Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to initiate the ‘green policy’ to replace paper transactions with electronic ones. A committee, tasked at carrying out this initiative, had its third meeting chaired by Mai Al Binkhalil, in the presence of other committee members, and representatives of Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA), namely Ahmed Ibrahim Al Arabi, head of strategic planning and Sima Mahmoud, Process Reengineering Senior Specialist. The meeting reviewed the e-projects launched by the BOC as well as others that are being prepared, which are part of the green police strategy. The authority also expressed willingness to support any eSports projects that support young athletes and the sports activities, in general, and the Bahrain Olympic Committee, in specific.
