Woman falls to death from expressway

BANGKOK, Sept 3 (TNA) – A woman fell to death from an expressway after a Sport Utility Vehicle or SUV slammed into the rear of her broken down van on the road shoulder, hitting her standing in front of her vehicle this morning. The 68-year-old woman, travelling with her daughter on the Chalong Rat expressway when her van had an engine problem near the exit of Soi Sukhumvit Soi 50. A police officer with his motorcycle was at the scene to assist her. While she was waiting for help, a speeding SUV hit her car, making her fall from the expressway to the ground at Pridi Banomyong Soi 2. The police was slightly injured and his motorcycle was damaged. The SUV driver was detained for questioning. Police are taking legal action against her. (TNA)
