RI PRESIDENT BACK IN JAKARTA IN BETTER HEALTH

Jakarta, March 13 (ANTARA) - Returning from a working visit to South Sulawesi where he suffered a gastric disorder, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said here Friday he had recovered from the ailment thanks to the good care of his doctors.

The President, accompanied by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, after arriving at the Halim Perdanakusuma air force base in east Jakarta, at 12.50 pm from Makassar, South Sulawesi, immediately greeted waiting media men.

The head of state had earlier shaken hands with Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Widodo AS and Cabinet Secretary Sudi Silalahi who had come to the airport to greet him.

He later approached the waiting journalists and talked to them.

"Thank God, I am in better health now. My doctors said I had gastritis and was suffering from fatigue," he said, adding he had recovered after getting good medical treatment.

"Thanks for your prayers," he told the reporters.

He was earlier scheduled to proceed to Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, from Makassar, on Friday, but he had canceled the Banjarmasin visit and assigned Coordinating Minister for the People's Welfare Aburizal Bakrie to represent him in the South Kalimantan provincial capital.

Before leaving Makssar, the president visited a newly-built low-cost high-rise housing complex at Mariso, the site of the Center Point of Indonesia project and the Celebes Convention Center in Makassar.
