Denpasar, Indonesia, March 14 (ANTARA) - As still owing US$1.192 million in aircraft maintenance cost to PT GMF AeroAsia, seven planes of Batavia Air had been placed under a seizure before judgment status by virtue of a Central Jakarta District Court judgement.
A press statement of PT GMF AeroAsia, subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia, received by ANTARA in Denpasar Friday night, said that the status could be lifted as soon as the debt has been paid.
General Manager of GMF Eniaswuri Andayani said the seven Boeing 737-200s could still be operated to serve the public.
In the settlement of the case, GMF AeroAsia had filed the civil case against PT Metro Batavia which manages Batavia Air through the Central Jakarta District Court on Sept 25, 2008.
In this case, PT GMF AeroAsia has appointed the Adnan Buyung Nasution & Partners Law Firm as its attorney at law.***
