Yamaha ready to join Thailand’s first MotoGP

BANGKOK, Sept 25 (TNA) - Yamaha takes part in counting down to Thailand’s first MotoGP race set early next month. Tourism and Sports Minister Weerasak Kowsurat and executives of Thai Yamaha Motor Co held a press conference to announce the PTT Thailand Grand Prix 2018 set at the Chang International Circuit in Buri Ram province on Oct 5-7. In the event, Yamaha will field its world-class racers including 9-time world champion Valentino “The Doctor” Rossi, Maverick “Top Gun” Vinales, 2017 Rookie of the Year Johann Zarco and Hafizh Syahrin. Yamaha will also send its Thai racer and Asian champion Apiwat “Stamp” Wongthananon to the Moto3 competition in the homeland as a wild card. (TNA)
