LG premium LCD TV set becomes 'million seller' product
SEOUL, March 15 (Yonhap) -- LG Electronics said Sunday that its 32-inch premium liquid crystal display (LCD) TV set has become a "million seller" product since hitting store shelves last April.
The company said the strong sales figures for its 32LG3000ZA model are noteworthy
as the TV is sold exclusively in Europe. The set was designed to match consumer
tastes in countries such as Britain, France, Germany, Spain and Italy.
This marks the first time that LG reported a million sales for a single LCD TV
model since the company started making such products in 1999. The upper-end model
features so-called "invincible speakers" and a clear voice sound system.
The electronics company said it is aiming to push up its global LCD TV sales to
18 million units this year.
