GS Engineering completes US$2.1 bln gas plant in Iran
SEOUL, March 15 (Yonhap) -- GS Engineering & Construction Co., South Korea's second-largest builder, said Sunday it has completed the construction of a US$2.1 billion gas-processing plant in Iran.
Located in Assaluyeh, southern Iran, the facility has a production capacity of 19
million tons of gas per year, the builder said. GS led a consortium that included
two Iranian companies on the project, which began in 2003.
"With the latest completion, GS Engineering gains a competitive advantage in gas
plants markets, including Iran," a GS Engineering official said.
