International ISO seminar on introducing national strategy for standardization to be held in Bishkek

Bishkek, Oct. 8, 2018. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), is holding an international ISO seminar on introducing a national standardization strategy in Bishkek on October 9-11.
For Kyrgyzstan, it is an important event and a great honor to hold an event of international level and of such magnitude, the press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The seminar will be attended by leaders of the National Standardization Bodies: Macedonia, Montenegro, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, experts from 16 countries of Eastern Europe and the CIS, as well as experts from the International Organization for Standardization from Switzerland.
The International Organization for Standardization facilitates the elimination of technical barriers to trade, the development of mutual trade between countries, has a positive effect on social development and scientific and technological progress, cooperation between countries around the world, and also leads to a common understanding of the requirements for subjects of standardization.
Within the framework of ISO, standards are being developed more and more not only in the technical, but also in the economic and social spheres, banking, insurance medicine, appraisal, etc.
In particular, more than 1.5 million companies and organizations have been certified for quality and safety management systems for compliance with the requirements of relevant international standards in the world. Such a huge number of certified organizations is due to the positive influence of international standards on the successful development of these organizations and companies.
Since the accession of Kyrgyzstan in 1995 to the International Organization for Standardization, the Kyrgyz Republic has received the right to apply the international standards of this organization.
