Bishkek and Riga develop contacts

Bishkek, Oct. 8, 2018. /Kabar/. An official visit of the delegation of the Riga City Council headed by Deputy Chairman of the Riga City Council Andris Ameriks will take place in Kyrgyzstan from 9 to 13 October of this year, the press service of the Bishkek City Council reported. The Riga delegation also includes deputies of the Riga city parliament, chairmen of committees and representatives of waste treatment companies. In the framework of the visit, the official meeting of the Bishkek City Council Speaker Zhanybek Abirov with the Riga delegation, Mayor of the capital Aziz Surakmatov, acquaintance with the work of the Zelenkhoz municipal enterprise is planned. During the visit, it is planned to discuss issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two representative bodies, as well as the intensification of joint work. Following the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation will be signed between the Bishkek City Council and the Riga City Council. It is the first visit of the Riga City Council to the Bishkek City Council. Earlier this May, a delegation of the Bishkek City Council visited the Riga City Council.
