KOGAS seeking to join Russia's gas pipeline construction


SEOUL, March 16 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's state-run Korea Gas Corp. said Monday
that it is pushing to participate in the construction of a natural gas pipeline
linking Sakhalin and Vladivostok, Russia.
"We are in talks with Russia's Gazprom over our participation in the gas pipeline
construction and aim to send a working-level delegation to Russia to finalize the
talks," said an official for Korea Gas,the world's top liquefied natural gas
(LNG) buyer.
Gazprom, the world's largest gas producing company, is aiming to complete the
pipeline under construction by 2011, the company said.
