Solemn event dedicated to 90th anniversary of Aitmatov in Tashkent

Tashkent, Oct. 18, 2018. /Kabar/. A solemn event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of great writer Chyngyz Aitmatov was held at the Uzbek State Music Theater named after Mukimi, a Kabar correspondent, who participated in this event, told. A delegation of Naryn Oblast Academic Music and Drama Theater of Kyrgyzstan, headed by State Advisor to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic on culture and spirituality, national writer of Kyrgyzstan Sultan Raev, took part in it. At the event, Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Sayfullaev noted the dynamic development of cultural ties between the two fraternal peoples, which are linked by the similarity of traditions and customs. He said that the best performances of theater groups of Uzbekistan are successfully shown in Kyrgyzstan. Creative tours of the theaters of the fraternal Kyrgyz people are traditionally held in Uzbekistan. Last year, the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan were solemnly held in Bishkek, and the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan will be held on October 24-28 this year in Tashkent and Samarkand. Sultan Raev noted that the development of friendly relations between the Kyrgyz and Uzbek peoples is of particular importance, and the wide celebration of the 90th anniversary of famous writer Chyngyz Aitmatov in Uzbekistan deserves attention. “Aitmatov’s words: ’The Uzbek people are the people who gave such great figures to the world as Ibn Sino, Beruniy, Alisher Navoi’ are a clear confirmation of our friendship in the literary, cultural and educational spheres,” the head of the Kyrgyz delegation emphasized. “We have chosen, not without reason, the “Man” drama based on the novel by Chyngyz Aitmatov The Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years for a demonstration during our visit.”The fate of humanity, evil threatening it, the problems of the planet are skillfully displayed in this work,” Director of the Naryn Oblast Academic Music and Drama Theater Temurlan Isambaev told.
