Prospects for trade and economic cooperation with Canada discussed in Bishkek

Bishkek, Oct. 22, 2018. / Kabar /. As part of her working visit to Canada, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Dinara Kemelova met with Deputy Minister of International Trade of Canada Timothy Sargent and Vice President of the Canadian Commercial Corporation for Business Development and Sales Andrew Schisco.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, during these meetings, Kemelova raised the issues of diversifying trade, economic and investment cooperation, increasing trade, expanding ties between private sectors, and implementing projects in the processing industry, in the field of transport, hydropower, agriculture and tourism industries.
In addition, the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic visited the Moses-Sanders hydropower plant on the border between Canada and the United States to study their experience in joint water management and power generation.
