Bahrain Electricity Minister receives IMF delegation

Manama, Oct. 30 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission currently visiting Bahrain led by Bikas Joshi. The minister praised the role of international financial institutions which deal with economic development in various countries. The minister briefed the delegation on the most important current and future projects in the electricity, water and renewable energy sector in Bahrain and the achievements made in these sectors. Dr. Mirza expressed his readiness to cooperate with International Monetary Fund to serve the interests of the national economy and for the benefit and interest to Bahrain. The delegation said the meeting contributed to the general status of electricity and water in Bahrain and apprised them of the projects implemented by the Electricity and Water Authority and the Sustainable Energy Unit.
