POLICE STUDYING PROJETILE THAT KILLS COMPANY EXECUTIVE
Jakarta, March 17 (ANTARA) - The police forensic laboratory is currently studying the projectile which had killed the director of PT Putra Rajawali Banjaran, Nasrudin Zulkarnain, in Tangerang on Saturday.
National police spokesman Inspector General Abubakar Nataprawira said here on Tuesday the ballistic test would take some time as the projectile had broken.
"The bullet broke before entering the victim's body. It was the big piece of the broken bullet that had caused the victim's death while the other smaller fragments were left in his car," he said.
Based on the result of the test the police hoped they could determine the type of the bullet and the gun used in the shooting make identification of the perpetrators easier, he said.
Nasrudin was shot in a car by two people on a motorcycle after playing golf in Cipondoh, Tangerang but his driver was safe as he was not the target. The bullets broke the windshield before hitting the victim on his head.
Nasruddin died at the hospital on Sunday after receiving treatment.
Abubakar said the Tangerang city police had examined 11 witnesses in connection with the case.
Asked if the killers were professional Abubakar said the police would not like to make categorization but what the police analyzed was that a man shot and hit a victim who then died.
"The case is now being taken over by the Jakarta Metropolitan Police to speed up its disclosure," he said.
He said the police welcomed the plan of the victim's family to form a fact-finding team of their own as it could help the police unveil the murder case.
