SEOUL, March 18 (Yonhap) -- President Lee Myung-bak Wednesday named a former

With the appointment, David Roselle, now serving as a honorary president of the
U.S. university, became a member of the global advisory group that also includes
Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft, and Klaus Schwab, founder and executive
chairman of the World Economic Forum.
"President Lee appointed David Roselle as a global advisor to help advance the
country's education system and raise the competitiveness of our universities as
he stressed the importance of increasing our investment in the development of
human resources to prepare for the future especially when times are hard," the
presidential office Cheong Wa Dae said in a press release.
Born in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, Roselle, 70, served as the president of the
University of Delaware for 17 years until he retired two years ago.
