Seoul stocks down 0.67 pct in late morning
SEOUL, March 19 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks edged down 0.67 percent late
Thursday morning as institutional investors dumped blue-chip shares to take
profits, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) lost 7.84 points to
1162.11 as of 11:20 a.m.
Tech shares were losing ground as market leader Samsung Electronics and its local
rival LG Electronics traded in negative territory. Panel maker LG Display was
also among the early losers.
The local currency was trading at 1,398.45 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20
a.m., up 23.05 won from Wednesday's close.
