Budget carrier Jeju Air opens overseas routes

SEOUL, March 20 (Yonhap) -- Jeju Air Co., South Korea's largest budget carrier,
said Friday it has started offering regular flight services from Incheon, the
nation's main gateway, to the Japanese cities of Osaka and Kitakyushu.
Jeju Air provides one daily round-trip flight service on the route between
Incheon and Osaka and three weekly flight services between Incheon and
Kitakyushu, the carrier said in a statement.
The budget carrier will use a 189-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft for the regular
international flights.
Jeju Air began flight services on domestic routes in 2006 and launched charter
flight services between the city of Jeju and Hiroshima, Japan, in July of last
year.
