Ahn Jung-hwan signs with Chinese football club

SEOUL, March 20 (Yonhap) -- South Korean football star Ahn Jung-hwan will play
with Chinese Dalian Shide, his agent said Friday.
The 33-year-old attacker will join the Chinese team this week and is expected to
make his China League debut at an opener on March 23, Ahn's management agency
said.
"He will play until the end of October this year and be paid US$300,000. There
will be additional bonuses as well," the agency said. "The club will release him
unconditionally if he receives a contract offer from other clubs."
Ahn has been free agent since his contract with South Korea's Busan I-Park
expired last year and has been seeking a new team abroad.
Ahn was named the best player in the Korean League in 1999 and has played in five
different clubs, including AC Perugi of Italy, FC Metz of France and MSV Duisburg
of Germany. He scored three goals in the 2002 and 2006 World Cups.
Dalian Shide was established in 1983 and won the league championship in 2005.
