RI SENDS 13O MARINES TO GUARD AMBALAT WATERS

Sidoarjo, E Java, March 20 (ANTARA) - Indonesia has assigned 130 marine troops to guard the Ambalat waters in the border areas between Indonesia and Malaysia.
Commander of the Indonesian Marine Force-I (Pasmar-1), Brig. Gen. I Wayan Mendra here on Friday sent off the 130 marines who would be stationed in the Ambalat region on the border between the two countries.
In his address, the Pasmar-1 commander said the assignment of the marine forces constituted a trust and task given by the leader that had to be accounted for both to the corps and God.
"This assignment is an honor and a matter of pride for marines. Therefore, the task must be carried out with full responsibility," the one-star general said.
