Pontianak, March 21 (ANTARA) - Vice Chairman of the Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party Hasyim Djojohadikusumo pledged not to sell state entreprises to foreigners,if his party was given a chance to lead Indonesia through this year's general election.

"There will be selling of Telcom, PLN (electricity company) or other state entreprises. Just remember my word," Hasyim said on the sidelines of his party's open campaign in Pontianak on Saturday.

According to him, it will run counter to the government's plan to sell around 35 percent of state entreprises' shares in 2009.

In addition, the rescheduling of the country's foreign debt will be conducted and shifted as the shares to support education, health, food and cheap energy programs.

To generate people's economy, we have targetted to provide four million hectare land for the cultivation of suggar palm trees as a source of bio ethanol for which around 24 million people could be employed, Hasyim said.
