Ministers discuss Saudi-French commercial and Industrial

Riyadh, March 22, SPA -- The Minister of Commerce and Industry
Abdullah bin Ahmed Zainal Ali Reza met here today with French Foreign
Minister Bernard Kouchner currently on a visit to the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia.


During the meeting, they discussed commercial and industrial
bilateral relations, ways of their further promotion and development
, enhancement of opportunities for commercial and industrial
cooperation and the achievement of mutual benefits between the
private sectors in the two countries.

In 2007, the volume of bilateral trade between the two countries
amounted to SR 26,879 million; the exports accounting for SR 15,380
million and the imports SR11, 499 million.

The meeting was attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry for
Foreign Trade Abdullah Al-Hamoudi and French Ambassador to the
Kingdom Bertrand Besancenot.
