Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Guinea

Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- A Guinean preparatory committee for marking the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Conakry on January 21. Riyad Chaloub, chairman of the Guinean National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. Discussed at the inaugural ceremony was a plan for political and cultural events to be held between January 23 and February 16. -0-
