Local Content Forum Opens at `Alsharqia` Chamber

Dammam, Saudi Arabia, March 24, SPA -- The Local Content Forum began
its deliberations here last night.


As many as 17 delegates from a number of governmental agencies and
strategic economic sectors and the private sector will speak at the
Forum.


Abdurrahman Al Rashed, Chairman of 'Alsharqiah' Chamber, the
organizing body of the Forum, said that it comes within the framework
of the vision of attracting higher rates of investment and employment
in order to indigenize the industry, investment and technology
transfer and knowledge.


He said the Chamber will organize the second session of the Forum
next year, adding that the Forum will address a specific issue in
each of its annual sessions, presenting the Chamber's efforts to
contribute to the local content of investment.
