TOBA PULP'S PROFIT PLUNGES 82.9 PCT

Jakarta, March 24 (ANTARA) - Publicly-listed pulp maker PT Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk last year saw a 82.9 percent drop in its net profit to US$2.02 million from US$11.8 million a year earlier.
Net sales fell 16.06 percent to US$115.5 million from US$137.6 million, leading to a decline in last year's net profit, according to the company's financial statement published on Tuesday.
Likewise, operating profit also plunged 89.78 percent to US$3.761 million in 2008 from US$39.809 million the year before.
