HM King thanked by Speaker

Manama, Jan. 31 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal extended heartfelt thanks and respect to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the leader of the reform project and democratic march, for the achievements brought about to women. She also extended thanks and respect to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), for her tremendous efforts to boost the march of Bahraini and Arab women. In a statement marking the Arab Women's Day, the Representatives Council Speaker praised the efforts of Arab and Bahraini women in contributing to the development of their countries. She expressed heartfelt congratulations to all Arab women on the occasion, lauding their outstanding role in backing sustainable development in their countries. She stressed that Bahraini women had set a pioneering model in all fields, commending their distinguished contributions to sustainable development. She hailed continuous cooperation between the Representatives Council and SCW to boost the role of Bahraini women in the community and maximise national achievements. She also underscored keenness of the legislative branch in Bahrain on supporting women, being key partners in achieving the sustainable development goals.
