Yemen, Bahrain hold talks
MANAMA, March 24 (Saba) - A Yemeni-Bahraini summit was held on
Tuesday in Manama, co-chaired by President Ali Abdullah Saleh and
King Hamad Bin Issa Bin Salman al Khalifa.
The talks focused on strengthening relations which connect the two
countries and peoples, horizons of their development and extending
joint cooperation in political, economic, investment, security
and cultural fields to meet aspirations of the two countries'
peoples.
The two leaders agreed to form a joint supreme committee between the
two countries under the chairmanship of the two countries Foreign
Ministers and all concerned sides to be represented.
They have discussed the latest situations developments in the
regional, Arab and international arenas of common concern,
especially efforts of achieving Arab reconciliation, in the
framework of the ongoing preparations for the 21st ordinary Arab
summit conference expected to be held in the end of current March in
Qatari capital, Doha.
The talks also dealt with the latest situations developments in
Palestine and Somalia, anti-terrorism and anti-piracy efforts over
Gulf of Aden and Coast of Somalia.
President Saleh renewed Yemen's solidarity to stand beside Bahrain
in all that support its security, stability and sovereignty.
