Germany offers $22 mln to development in Yemen

SANA'A, March 24 (Saba) - Director of the German Technical
Organization GTZ Office in Yemen Thomas Engelhardt said on Tuesday
that the German support to development projects in Yemen through the
GTZ reaches $ 22 million yearly.

Speaking to the state-run 26sep.net, the German official said that
the cooperation program of the two countries provides support for
the most important sectors in the country, water, education, heath
and the private sector.

The GTZ promotes Yemeni pottery industries and handcrafts products
in Europe through supporting Yemen's participations in international
Fairs.

Engelhardt said that German assistance to Yemen will not be affected
by the global financial crisis.
