Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques speech hailed

Riyadh, March 24, SPA -- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's inaugural speech at today's Shoura
Council's session was hailed by the Chairman of Shoura Council, Chief
judge, ministers and Shoura Council members.

In interviews with the Saudi Press Agency following the opening
ceremony of the first year of the fifth session of the council, they
underscored the importance of the speech which dealt with vital
issues including the international dialogue, international financial
crisis, peace process in the region and domestic issues.

For his part, Sheikh Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al Alsheikh, Chairman of
the Shoura Council, said the monarch has drawn the picture of the
world today and how the Kingdom could continue to be a source of good
and prosperity for its people.

He drew the attention to the importance of the King's instructions to
expand the council's building following the increase of its members.
For his part, Sheikh Dr. Salih bin Homaid, Chief Higher Judiciary
Council described the speech as comprehensive and apparent,
discussing all domestic and foreign issues of concern.

He reminded that the monarch also underscored the importance of
unifying the Arab and Islamic positions and address to face the
challenges facing them.

The speech pointed out that the Kingdom, thanks to the wise policy of
its leadership has overcome the crisis and limited its impact on our
economy, he added.

On the recent ministerial reshuffle, he said it's natural as the
country always needs to open chances before the youth who could
provide help for decision-makers.

Giving similar comments were Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya, Assistant
Secretary General of the Shoura Council; Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabee'a,
Minister of Health; Musa bin Mohammed Al-Salim, Dr. Mansour bin Saad
Al-Kredees and Dr. Abdulmalik Al-Khayal, members of the Shoura
Council; Abdulrahman Al-Sadhan, Secretary General of the Cabinet; and
Abdullah bin Ahmed Zenel, Minister of Commerce and Industry.
