"Shutter of Love" to be produced to promote southern Thai tourism

BANGKOK, February 12 (TNA) - The Thai government, through the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, plans to soon produce a short film, named "Shutter of Love", to promote tourist attractions in five southern provinces along the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. Deputy Permanent Secretary for Tourism and Sports Santi Pawai announced the plan in Bangkok on February 11 while presiding over a ceremony to launch his ministry's project on promoting the domestic tourism along the coast of the Gulf of Thailand, under which the plan to produce the short film is included. Santi told journalists that the project is aimed to particularly promote charming tourist sites in southern Thai provinces, including Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Chumphon, Phattalung and Songkhla. "In the southern Thai provinces along the Gulf of Thailand, there are several tourist attractions, namely, for instance, Baan Kiriwong, Cheow Lan Dam, Koh Samui, Koh Pha-ngan and Koh Tao", the senior official acknowledged. The senior official said that the production of the "Shutter of Love" short film will be started late this month and should be finished and shared through social media networks by mid-May 2019 to inspire international tourists to visit the southern Thai tourist attractions to experience by themselves the natural magnets there. According to the senior official, the short film, presented by a group of young Thai stars, is expected to mostly attract Thai tourists, as well as Chinese, Indian and European visitors. (TNA)
