GERINDRA UNRUFFLED BY "GOLDEN TRIANGLE" AMONG THREE MAJOR PARTIES
Makassar, Indonesia, March 25 (ANTARA) - Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party leader Prabwowo Subianto said he was not concerned about the so-called "Golden Triangle" formed by the Golkar Party, Indonesian Democratic Party- Struggle (PDIP), and the United Development Party (PPP).
He said the three parties move in forming the link was a good thing and Gerindra might eventually even join it if the dynamics of political developments required it to do so.
"Yea, the combination of the political parties is a good thing because it is part of democracy but for us, we will wait and see," Subianto said after speaking at Gerindra campaign rally at the Mattoangin sport stadium here on Wednesday.
Prabowo said everything would be decided after the legislative election on April 9, 2009.
He said Gerinda wanted to make a difference for the state and nation and to make it better in the future.
"Gerindra is the only political party which dare to say that the political system in the country has failed to create a fair people's economy," Prabowo said.
According to him, the combination of political parties would lead to cristalization of two groups namely change pro group and status quo group.
"Gerindra will only join a party that share similar vision and mission to make a change, but the important thing is that we have to start the democracy in as best way as possible," Parabowo said.
Asked if would like to be Jusuf Kalla's running mate from Golkar Party, Prabowo said up to the present he was the presidential candidate nominated by Gerinda. ***
