On behalf of HM King Hamad, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa attends the opening ceremony for 2019 Bahrain International Garden Show

Manama, Feb. 20 (BNA): On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Isa bin Salman Educational Fund, today attended the opening ceremony for the 2019 Bahrain International Garden Show, at Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center. HH Shaikh Isa affirmed that the ongoing support of HM the King and HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the wife of HM the King and President of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development, reflects Bahrain’s commitment to prioritize agriculture as an integral part of the Kingdom’s development. HH Shaikh Isa recognized the importance of advancing the agriculture sector’s economic contribution in line with Bahrain’s diversification efforts and environmental stewardship. HH Shaikh Isa then launched a progress report on the implementation of the United Nation’s Sixth Sustainable Development Goal in the Kingdom of Bahrain and a Soil Maps project that outlines the Kingdom’s soil properties. HH Shaikh Isa later presented the following awards: 1. HM the King Cup in the garden category to Tahira Al Jaberi 2. The late Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa Cup in the flowers category to Dalal Sami 3. The late Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa Cup in the vegetable category to Tariq Al Jaberi and Dana Al Shehabi 4. HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Cup in the professional photography category to Esmat Ahmed 5. HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Cup in the amateur photography category to Nadia Al Zeera 6. HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Cup in the student photography category to Raya Khalil 7. HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa cup for the Best Environmental Garden to Gallery 21 and Orangery Café 8.
