Transport Minister, French company review Broum port project

SANA'A, March 25 (Saba)- Minister of Transport Khaled al-Wazir met on Wednesday with
a delegation from the French company authorized to review engineering studies and
designs related to the new Broum port project in Hadramout governorate.

During the meeting, al-Wazir was briefed on the results of the delegation field
visit to the Broum port project, and Mukalla and Mocha ports.

The delegation confirmed the company will prepare a new study which would reduce the
cost of developing works that were approved in the last study.

Al-Wazir was briefed by the delegation on its visit to Foundation of Red Sea Ports
in Hodeidah that came out agreement to update and review the study of developing
Hodeidah port.

The study that was prepared by the French company since two years, would include
establishing 600 m footway.

The transport minister highlighted the importance of Broum port and the government's
interest on carrying out this project, confirming that the port would advance the
investment and trade exchange movement between Yemen and the regional countries.
