HRH Premier: Executive-Legislature partnership inevitable

Manama, Feb. 28 (BAN): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed that the Executive-Legislature is necessary. "Our partnership with the Council of Representatives is inevitable. We share priorities, and our ultimate common goal is to serve the nation and its citizens. Therefore, we will never hesitate to support and strengthen such cooperation, and to consolidate the commendable supervisory and legislative role played by the Council of Representatives," HRH Premier said. "We are keen to achieve what MPs raise, as it emanates from the aspirations of our dear people, whose members elected their representatives, and the government will spare no effort in continuing to extend bridges of cooperation with them," he added. HRH the Prime Minister made the statements as he received, at his Palace in Riffa today, several members of the Council of Representatives, within the framework of meetings aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two branches. HRH Premier stressed support for everything aimed at improving the citizens’ life, and at meeting their housing, health and educational needs. "We appreciate your youth spirit, and support your efforts by our full cooperation with you. You represent the people, and what your raise under the dome of the parliament reflects the aspirations of the citizens, and enjoys our follow-up and interest. Therefore, we seek to include it in the government’s programmes and projects, according to the prevailing resources," he told MPs. "Let’s join hands in building the cherished nation. Let your youth enthusiasm be a catalyst for more giving that serves the national action," he also said, while addressing MPs. HRH Premier emphasised the importance of constantly paying attention to broadening Executive-Legislature cooperation, as it is the best means to optimise achievements. So, let nothing slows down cooperation and coordination between the two branches, he said, calling for unifying stances for the best interests of the nation, he said. Every MP represents the Bahraini people, and we are confident that they are received such an honour well-deservedly, he added. The Prime Minister affirmed that the development process is on the right track in various fields of special importance to the citizens, and across the kingdom’s regions, adding that the government has succeeded in creating a secure and stable service system. HRH Premier also stressed that he never accepts any delay in projects aimed at serving the citizens, affirming all projects are subject to continuous follow-up to ensure the commitment of all competent sides to the implementation schedule. HRH the Prime Minister reviewed with the members of the Council of Representatives the needs of a number of regions, and the citizens’ requirements, including facilities and services. Lawmakers expressed honour in meeting HRH Premier, describing him as the symbol of national action and the leader of the development march in the kingdom ever since it began, and stressing his constant keenness to speed up all issues aimed at serving the nation and the citizens. They extended sincerest thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his constant support for government-parliament cooperation, affirming that he is a role model for patriotism and dedication in the service of the nation.
