10 al-Qaeda affiliates seized: security sources

SANA'A, March 26 (Saba) - During the last few days, security
apparatuses have arrested ten al-Qaeda suspects within a terrorist
cell known as 'Qasem al-Raimi' cell, official security sources have
told the state-run 26sep.net.

The sources said that most of the arrested are young whom were
recruited by al-Qaeda to carry out suicide and ravage attacks.

The security hunt for those elements and the other al-Qaeda
suspectsn especially at Osailan area in eastern province of Shabwa,
isbased on the information that the security apparatuses already got
from the arrested al-Qaeda elements as well as the important
information told by two Saudi al-Qaeda elements, Mohammed al-Aufi
and Abdullah al-Harbi, whom recently were seized by Yemeni security
authorities and extradited to Saudi authorities, the sources added.

The confessions of young arrested elements have revealed the styles
used by al-Qaeda recruiters under slogans of al-jihad in Somalia and
Iraq, whereas the youth were taken to Mareb province and subjected
them to tight sessions to impact their thoughts and prepare them to
implement suicide operations with explosive belts or bomb-cars as
well as training them on weapons in some desert and mountainous
areas in provinces of Mareb and Abyan, the security sources said.

The sources added that some of those recruited youth express their
refusal to carry out suicide attacks once they discover al-Qaeda
false slogans so they are encountering psychological pressure and
torture until they yield to al-Qaeda elements.

The Yemeni security bodies are preparing to announce names list and
photos of wanted elements in Yemen and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as
well as announced rewards for information leading to the capture of
the terrorists
