Foreign Ministry honours retiring employees

Manama, Mar. 5 (BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held here today a ceremony to honour retiring employees of the regular and voluntary retirement scheme (VRS), in recognition of their tireless efforts and dedication throughout their work in the Ministry. During the ceremony, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa, extended to those retiring the greetings of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, thanking them for their hard work and contributions to serving the Kingdom and the Ministry, wishing them further success and prosperity. In her speech, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked the retired employees for their significant contributions in the course of their work, and affirmed that they have effectively served the Kingdom. She noted that their hard work has shaped the Kingdom’s history through their political and diplomatic endeavors, stressing that they have left a significant mark in the Ministry, one that is going to be followed by their colleagues who will continue the march in the service of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Undersecretary also confirmed that the Ministry is continuing its relentless efforts in serving the Kingdom through enabling and training young national cadres to perform diplomatic work with all efficiency and competence, and to provide them with the opportunity to prove their abilities, wishing those retired further progress and prosperity in their new chapter. The retiring employees expressed their utmost thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, for his keenness and care of cadres working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs throughout the period of their work in the Ministry. They also expressed their gratitude for the Undersecretary and stressed that they are looking forward to further success and achievements after retirement, pointing out that this special day will always be remembered, wishing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its employees continued progress in the service of the Kingdom and its citizens. At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Shaikha Rana honored the retired employees in the presence of a number of senior officials in the Ministry.
