BJP will "force" Pak to close down terror factory: Rajnath

Jammu, Mar 27 (PTI) Accusing the ruling United
Progressive Alliance of losing out on the gains made by the
previous coalition government of NDA against Pakistan on the
terror front, India's opposition Bhartiya Janta Party Friday
vowed to "force" Islambad to dismantle terrorist training
camps on its soil if voted to power.

"If BJP comes to power at the Centre, we will
forumlate comprehensive action plan including forcing Pakistan
to close down terrorist training camps on its soil and make
strong anti-terror laws," BJP chief Rajnath Singh told a
public rally while launching party campaign in Jammu on the
first day of Navrata festival.

He claimed that under the NDA regime the then Pakistan
President Pervez Musharraf had "under intense international
pressure in view of the Indian's diplomacy had promised New
Delhi on January 2, 2004 to close down terror training camps
operating on its soil and targeting India".

"But the Congress-led government failed to force
Pakistan to fulfill its commitment and the result was Mumbai
(terror attacks)," he said.

"The gains made by the NDA government were lost by the
UPA government against Pakistan," he said, adding that the
Centre should have told Pakistan that India was "capable of
striking terror camps in Pakistan and destroying them". MORE
