37 killed in bus accidents in China

Beijing, Mar 27 (PTI) At least 37 people were killed and
19 others injured in two separate bus accidents in eastern
China Friday, police said.

Seventeen people were killed and eight others injured
when a bus heading for Quanzhou city in east China's Fujian
Province overturned on a freeway and fell into a ditch.

In the second accident, 20 passengers were killed and 11
others injured in a collision between a bus and two trucks on
an expressway in Fengcheng city in east China's Jiangxi
Province.

Senior provincial officials have rushed to the accident
sites to direct rescue operations, the official Xinhua news
