Saudi Arabia remains unaffected by Global Economic Crisis: Envoy
New York, Mar 28 (SPA) - "Saudi Arabia desires to endorse the importance of coordinating regional and international efforts for creating the suitable environment for confronting the economic and financial challenges", Al-Nafeesa said at the meeting.
He noted that the Kingdom will play an active role at the meeting of
Group-20 next week, scheduled to take place in London.
"The Kingdom will remain serious as regards creation of a good
economic system for reduction of interest rate and supporting the
banks notably as regards supervision of local banks," he said.
Commenting on the stand of the local banks from the global financial
crisis, he said the banking sector in the Kingdom is well-organized
and 'we expect further growth'.
