Al-Arhabi: YTCEI aims to attract global investments

SANA'A, March 28 (Saba)- Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs
for Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karee al-Arhabi
said on Saturday that Yemeni Transparency Council for Extractive
Industries (YTCEI) aims at attracting further investments in field
of oil and gas.

During the second meeting of the council, al-Arhabi said the tasks
of the council focus on gathering information in field of oil and
gas investments, affirming role of the council in implementing of
the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI).

Yemen recently jointed the EITI which aims to strengthen governance
by improving transparency and accountability in the extractives.
