British Burn Energy company's activities in Aden, Abyan, Lahj
ABYAN, March 29 (Saba) - Abyan Governor Ahmed al-Maisari met here on
Sunday with the general director of the Italian company Burn Energy
for Oil Exploration Serafino Jampeli.
The meeting reviewed the exploration work for oil which the company
will implement in block 17, after studies confirmed the existence of
oil in Aden, Lahj and Abyan.
The company's director pointed out that the work will be on multiple
stages, in which the first stage will explore the geological and
physical aspects within three years and the establishment of seismic
and informational data in order to begin the second stage which is
the production process.
For his part, the governor welcomed the British company investments
in this dynamic fields, affirming the leaderships' readiness to ease
the company's work difficulties that may impede the progress of
exploration work. He pointed out to the importance of implementing
such projects
It is worth to mention that, the Ministry of Oil and Minerals signed
last September with Burn Energy company and the Public Corporation
for Gas and Oil an agreement to explore and participate in oil
production in Aden, Abyan and Lahj governorates.
Aden Governor Adnan al-Jafari met on Saturday with the company
general director and discussed the company's activity in Aden, Lahj
and Abyan governorates in block 17.
